Enlightenment Lizards doing Pushups

Sitting in the sun

warming my back against the wall of heaven.

The people inside are as a choir of lights –

all textures, colors, and intensities.

They sing together over a lunch.

I will join them soon,

but first I must visit the lizards

crawling out of a labyrinth of ancient tree roots

They are checkin’ me out

Giving me the side eye

Doing push ups in sun rays

Kicking up dirt everywhere

Little enlightenment friends

Our communities are entwined

I love you

I love you all so

so much
